Update: Due to inclement weather, today’s Memorial Day service has been moved to the pavilion at Little River Park. Please gather there at 12:45pm.
A Scout is proud to be an active member of his community. Honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation is part of that Scouting tradition.
Please be aware that cannons are fired as part of the memorial service, so bring hearing protection for those Cubs that are sensitive to loud noises.
Be sure your Cub wears his Class A uniform (his button-up shirt with patches). If you don’t have uniform pants or short, please wear blue shorts or pants. Please, no athletic shorts. Boots or dark-colored sneakers are preferred footwear.
Service to our community is a cornerstone of Scouting and tomorrow’s memorial is a small, but very meaningful way for our Scouts to live that ethic of service.
I hope you can join us.
